Founded along with Charles University itself in 1348, the Charles University in Prague - First Faculty of Medicine is the oldest medical faculty in Central Europe. It provides education in all fields of general medicine as well as stomatology. The students will be guided by a teaching staff made up of more than 109 professors, 148 associate professors and more than 697 assistant professors and instructors. The fundamental aim of the faculty is to provide prospective doctors a wide medical education with a solid theoretical base and capability of scientific and medical thinking and communication. The faculty is situated in the industrial, commercial and cultural hub of the Czech Republic, Prague, sometimes called “The City of One Hundred Spires”. Students will be able to enrich their studying experience with Prague’s many art, music and professional schools as well as museums, libraries and theatres.
